I teach piano and voice lessons in Louisville, Colorado.
ABOUT ME
Teaching Philosophy:
My wholehearted goal is to provide positive, fun and memorable experiences for students through holistic and individualized musical instruction. I aim for students to enjoy and look forward to every lesson, develop confidence in their musical abilities, and to fall in love with the progression of their musical journey. My intention is to create a special and unique relationship with every student which is the anchor for musical growth, expression and success that occurs in the music studio and beyond.

Background:
I grew up playing piano and singing since I was a very young child, taught by my Grandmother. This love of music continued to progress into high school and college where I participated in musicals, plays, operas, choirs, and competitions. Entering college I knew I wanted to both perform and teach children, and became first person ever to graduate with a dual degree in Voice Performance and Music Education from the University of Colorado. I also hold a Master's Degree in Music Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Post-grad, I taught elementary music in the Boulder area for eight years as well as private voice and piano lessons during after school hours. I have also taught music summer camps and directed children's choirs. I transitioned to teaching private lessons full time in the Fall of 2023 and haven't looked back. I am also an active member of the Boulder Area Music Teacher's Association (BAMTA) and recently joined Key of She, an elite women’s a cappella group.
Outside of teaching, you can find me running, cycling, swimming, doing handstands in yoga class, reading a good book, or adventuring outside with my husband and our two dogs, Meadow and Poppy.
